hello!!! boy it sure has been a year since i last posted a journal, huh!!!
I just wanted to come in with a quick-ish update that might be of interest to some of you: I'm doing NaNoWriMo for the first time this year, and the "novel" I'm writing is the script for Kite-Drawn! ((That's the Ralph and Tiptoe story for those of y'all who may not know (^: ))
I started the script earlier this summer, so nano has been a big help in getting me to chug out more words more frequently. it's been a blast so far, im totally hooked! All together I have about 38k words and 60 pages of script so far. Wowza!!
Something I've mentioned on other platforms that I've neglected to mention here is that I am aiming to have this initial draft of Kite-Drawn done by the end of 2019. That might be... pushing it, given how long things are taking now, but i think it's possible!
The real kicker, however, is that I'm hoping to launch Kite-Drawn as a webcomic sometime next year. the earliest it would possibly arrive would be in the summer (tbh im guessing fall next year is much more likely) BUT!!! AFTER TEN YEARS OF KICKING THESE OCS AROUND, IM FINALLY MAKING MOVES YALL!! IT SURE HAS TAKEN LONG ENOUGH
If you're also doing nanowrimo this year, here's my profile! Let's be buddies! I'm on a good streak right now and I dont know how long it'll last, but I'm hoping to keep this momentum up as long as i can :^)

"man, it's been months since my last journal entry of a major life update, how about refreshing it with a journal entry of a major life update"
as the title states... i have a daughter now
I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO ADOPT A CAT... FOR SO LONG,
Meet Masari! She's our little one-and-a-half year old black cat and I love her so much!!
We've had her for two weeks so far, and she's just the best :'') Her voice is super cute and squeaky, and her fur feels soft like a bunny. And she's tiny!! Shes like, 7.5 pounds, its buckwild
we adopted her from a cat sanctuary that had rescued her from a high-kill shelter when she was a kitten. She was at the sanctuary itself for about a year, and while it makes me pretty sad that she was there for so long, I'm so glad that we've been able to give her a home :'')
She's adjusted very well, and it's been so cute watching my boyfiancé fall in love with her and asking questions- i grew up with cats but he's never had one. It's been a lot of fun watching him reveal himself to be the cat person i always knew he was >:^)
That's mostly what's been going on with me! It's been really fun going from a couple to a tiny family of three :'')
oh also, for anyone wondering, "Masari" means "money" in arabic. reblog the money cat for money to come your way

hey everyone! im a little sad to put skyjukebox away, but i'm afraid it's time :') I've been wanting to for a while honestly- as much as I love the name, I wanted something that wasn't affiliated with anything. so i chose elizabysmal because:
- a.) i'm elizabeth!
- b.) I Am A Travesty
however
last night I tried to do the same thing on tumblr by switching over my previous url with one I had saved and... managed to delete my entire account?
I have had that account for seven years, and as it was my main platform, I had a ton of stuff there. I initially thought it was really stupid to admit that i cried a lot about it, but honestly? for as long as I had it, and as many memories I had archived there, its really sad to have all that get deleted so suddenly.
long story short, i remade.
